Things for Sitting and Standing

In this series I was experimenting using mechanical fasteners and interlocking joints to create furniture that could be flat packed for easier mobility.

All of the wood is reclaimed Fir from a warehouse in Olympia’s port district. Due to the fact that the wood was reclaimed there are old nail holes and insect tracks. Instead of covering these up, I decided to showcase their originality by filling with a mixture of epoxy, sawdust and ink to create black accents to the warm tones of the wood.
